In memory of...
HOME
In loving memory of Casey, the Bernstein's beloved 18 year old flame point Himalayan. You were a dedicated and good companion, Casey boy, and you are sorely missed. Our home is not the same without you, but we'll meet again at the Rainbow Bridge. Thanks for all the memories of a life shared.

In loving memory of "Elvis", the Therisch's beloved 9-year old Blue Brithish Shorthair-male. We are so sad that we had to unexpectedly lose you, Buddy! We all - and especially your friends "Noëmi" and "Angel" will terribly miss you. Thanks for being such a wonderful friend for the past 9 years!
In loving memory of "Magic", one of our adoptable senior cats. While waiting for a new home little Magic got terribly sick and didn't make it.
We really hope, Magic, that you now are at a really great place - we'll miss you!
In loving memory of "Fanny", one of our adoptable senior cats. After her special human friend died she was waiting for a wonderful new home but somehow her heart decided to follow her friend and she unexpectely left us. We'll miss you, girl!
Our rescued calico Persian Paige was friendly and beautiful to everyone, humans and cats! We are very sad about her passing, but we are happy that she knew love and happiness in her caring foster home. After suddenly going into respiratory distress and receiving excellent emergency veterinarian care, Paige passed away in May. She is missed by all of us.
Go ahead and write out your memories,

I rescued Pug in Oct. 1999. She had PKD & oxalate crystals. They said she was 9 when I got her. She was tortie & looked like purebred persian until you heard her voice. Very loud like a siamese. With all her ailments she lasted until Aug. 2007. I will miss you Puggy girl.
Debi in Los Osos.
Dear Duke died on November 28, 2007 from a very bad heart. Duke's story is very sad. We wish his owners had not been so cowardly and had cared for him more. He was only about 3 years old, and was abandoned in a cardboard box at a vet hospital in Santa Clarita. The vet didn't know if Duke had been lost, or of he really belonged to someone, so felt obligated to turn him in at the LA County animal shelter in Castaic, just in case, so his owners could possibly find him there. Duke did not got claimed by his owners, and wasn't adopted at the shelter, so on his last day, the vet returned to Castaic to save Duke from euthanasia. Then we were contacted and asked to take him in. Duke did very well at first. He was friendly and sweet, and really loved other cats. He was such a joy to have around, and we felt anyone would be lucky to have such a handsome cheerful boy. We found Duke a new home, with a prior cat we had adopted out, named Earl. Unfortunately, on the eve of his adoption, Duke suddenly developed shortness of breath, so his adoption was cancelled, and Duke was taken to the vet for testing. The vet in Santa Clarita did a chest xray, and then said that we should take Duke elsewhere for a cardiac ultrasound. We returned Duke to Beverly Oaks Animal Hospital, and our vet there arranged for his testing. The result and prognosis was very poor. This sweet little cat was not expected to live for more than a couple of weeks. He actually lived a happy normal life for about 6 more weeks, on cardiac medications. However, he was doomed because of blood gathering in his heart, and he ultimately died suddenly in his sleep, probably from a blood clot. Dear Duke, we miss you, and we wish you happiness, sunshine and lots of playtime with all of your friends and relatives, over the rainbow bridge.
I rescued Willy from a life a big cage in the garage. He was only with me for 2 years, but he such a gentleman. Rolling around on his back on the carpet like he had died & gone to heaven. Sweet Willy had to be euthanized Feb 9 because of kidney failure. I miss you Willy - Debi
Greta passed away at her adopter's home this morning. She had been eating normally and was active. However, we were ready to bring her in for a blood panel, because she was drinking a lot and peeing a lot, which sounded like kidney failure to me. The adopter thought possibly diabetes.Unfortunately, we'll never know what went wrong for Greta.

Greta was a really pretty blue point himi, with a strong personality. You could even say she was a little bit on the difficult side at times, but she could also be very sweet when she got used to you. I really loved her look. I liked having her in my home, and I know Ishani did as well. Ishani fostered her for about a week before she got adopted.

Her adopter Pam couldn't believe that beautiful Greta had been dumped at Camarillo. All of Pam's friends were very supportive of the adoption, and were hoping that it would work out with Pam's other cat. They were still in the adjustment process, and as of Saturday, it looked like things were starting to turn a corner. Pam was willing to keep trying, at least as a foster home for Greta.

Pam was happy to have been able to provide Greta with a nice loving home for her final days. RIP, Greta.
Whisper was a beautiful cat we found at a Shelter. Due to the fact she being already 10 years old, deaf and her sight being limited we didn't expect her to be adopted soon and we all got prepared to rescue her and provide her with a nice foster home until we could adopt her out to a new permanent home.

At the Shelter they had informed us she would have a tiny little surgery to clean up a small wound on her year. One day later when Venita called in to ask how the surgery went she was informed that the vet had seen Whisper, had considered her to suffer and euthanized her immediately. We all cannot believe it and we're shocked and very sad!!

You didn't deserve this, Whisper and could still have a few wonderful peaceful and loving years ahead. We will not forget you and we know, you're fine now where you are!!
We got news today, July 1, 2008 that our former foster cat Pirate had a blockage. His new Mommy and Daddy noticed the blockage and got him to the vet right away, but before surgery could be performed he crashed twice at the vet's, and the second time he crashed, they could not revive him.

They are devastated, and so are we all from Helping Persian cats. So incredibly sad. We know all that his adopters were totally in love with him, and gave him a great home. He was such a wonderful cat! RIP, sweet Pirate.
